Tim Weber joined RGT in 2012 as a Managing Director. He has been an investor since 1986 and brings over 33 years of investment management experience to the firm. Previously, Tim spent 19 years at Goldman Sachs in private wealth management after beginning his career in the mutual fund industry. While at Goldman, he led a team of six professionals working exclusively with high-net-worth families to manage all aspects of their financial world.
His team at RGT works with clients on portfolio construction, asset allocation, risk management and implementation of portfolios across the full spectrum of asset classes, as well as bringing the full slate of family office activities of RGT to bear for clients. Tim serves RGT as a voting member of the RGT Investment Policy Committee, as head of the Business Development & Branding Committee and is the chair of the RGT Tiny Tennis Competition Committee.
Tim has a passion for philanthropy and is actively involved in helping clients develop their own philosophy of giving. He is involved with East Dallas County Young Life, Search Ministries and JourneyMen, (two groups dedicated to encouraging and mentoring men in their 20s and 30s), The Covenant School Foundation Committee and Circle 10 Council of the BSA. Previously he has served The Covenant School as co-chair of their capital campaigns and as President of the Booster Club.
Tim earned his Bachelor’s in Economics from Yale University. While there, he was a two-sport athlete, playing both football and throwing the discus on the track and field team. He received his MBA in Finance and Accounting from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
