Chip Tardy joined RGT in 2016 and currently serves as a Managing Director. Prior to RGT, Chip worked in the private banking division of Credit Suisse and the private client group of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette for a period that spanned 22 years. He initially joined DLJ in Chicago in the investment banking group and transitioned to Dallas several years later where he began serving the needs of high-net-worth individuals. While at Credit Suisse and DLJ, Chip and his team worked to solve all facets of a client’s financial goals.
Chip’s experience across the array of financial strategies and products is broad. He has advised families on comprehensive portfolio construction, asset allocation, risk mitigation, and implementation of all asset classes including cash, fixed income, equities, hedge funds, private equity, and certain derivative hedging strategies. He is able to assess a family’s needs to maximize their benefit of RGT’s holistic planning process while streamlining their lives and enhancing their peace of mind.
Outside of the office, Chip serves in several leadership positions at Watermark Community Church and has a passion for mentoring other men in their life’s journey. He has volunteered previously with Young Life and the International Justice Mission, and as a coach in the Park Cities YMCA youth sports program for many years.
Chip received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Georgia where he played football on two conference championship teams as an offensive lineman. He earned his Masters of Business Administration from the Kellogg School, Northwestern University.
