Pete Lodwick has served as Managing Director and General Counsel for RGT since August 2016. In addition to his role as General Counsel, Pete also serves on RGT’s Executive Committee.
Prior to RGT, Pete served as Vice President and General Counsel at The Container Store for two years. Prior to that time, he was a partner for 29 years at the law firm of Thompson & Knight LLP, counseling clients in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, securities transactions, and corporate governance.
Actively involved in the community, Pete is a member of the Board of Directors of the Salesmanship Club of Dallas and of Goodwill Industries of Dallas. He served as the 100th President of the Salesmanship Club of Dallas in 2019-2020. Pete is currently serving on the Executive Board of the SMU’s Cox School of Business. He has also served as Chairman of SMU’s Alumni Board, as a member of the SMU Board of Trustees from 2015-2017 and as a member of the Executive Board of the SMU Dedman School of Law from 2018-2020.
Pete earned a B.B.A. degree in finance, magna cum laude, from Southern Methodist University and a J.D. degree, cum laude, from SMU’s Dedman School of Law. While a student, he was captain of the SMU basketball team, a two-time Academic All-American, and a winner of the “M” Award.
